Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury is currently taking extensive lessons in the English language in order to prepare himself for his upcoming role in the Hollywood film “Ali Baba”. Lebanese film producer Elie Samaha, who is the Chairman/CEO of Franchise Pictures, nominated Wael to take part in the film, leading him towards international stardom. Wael signed a contract to star in the new film "Ali Baba" alongside internationally-known actor Antonio Bandares. The film falls under the action genre and is scheduled to be filmed in the United States of America, Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Wael also had to loose 12 Kilos for his character in the film and to appear fit. Kfoury's office asserted that the singer had received several offers to star in different films, but he was only convinced with this one and so decided to accept the role. Kfoury had previously revealed that rumors regarding the possibility of him taking part in the film alongside Antonio are true. Wael stressed that he did not wish to give out any details regarding the film, wanting to wait until an agreement is final between both sides.
Kfoury has announced the renewal of his contract with the Music Production Company Rotana for an additional three years. The singer signed the agreement at Rotana’s Lebanon regional office, and expressed his joy saying that he is very hopeful of the prospects of the contract. –Albawaba.com
