Egyptian actress Wafa Amer has revealed that she is very frustrated with Arabic magazines and newspaper who keep publishing rumors that she is secretly married and has a-two-year-old son named Omar. The actress added that these lies that are being written hold no facts to them.
Wafa stressed that she is in married and the fact that she does not wish to reveal his identity is of no ones business and that if she wanted she would make a public appearance with her husband but she finds no reason to do so especially because she is not forced to justify her actions to people. According to the London based Elaph, Wafa added that she did not have a big wedding party was because her father and sister had passed away not too long ago and that the family was still very sad.
Wafa announced that she will no longer play the role of a dancer or the woman who uses her looks to get what she wants. The actress stressed that she made this decision as a way of respecting her husband and making sure that her son will grow up proud of his mother's career. She added that she does not deny the roles she has played in the past that made the media classify her as a seductive actress.
After the big dispute that arose between prominent Egyptian actor Mohammed Subhi and Wafa during the filming of the TV drama “Mileh al-Ard”, Wafa made it a point not to show up for the filming of the last scenes of the drama, which where supposed to be shot on the Alexandria desert highway. The director had given strict orders to the entire cast to show up early in the morning in order to complete shooting the scenes.
All the working group which was more than 150 people and many technicians arrived at the filming scene at seven o'clock in the morning and Mohammed Subhi was there at eight. The only cast member who was not there was Wafa. Endless attempts were made by Subhi to try and get hold of the actress on her mobile. Once Subhi got through he began shouting in fury and ended the call by hanging up.
Director Khairi Beshara tried to calm Subhi and suggested that they start with the scenes where Wafa is not needed and the lighting manager was pushing everybody to start shooting before the sun gets in the wrong angel for filming.
Director Khairi Ibshara was forced to stop the filming of his new television drama series “Malh Al Ard” after Subhi slapped Wafa during the shooting of one of the scenes. It took the director four hours to try and calm Wafa, who was all shaken up from the hard blow, down. -Albawaba.com
