Egyptian actress Wafa Amer confirmed that she has no intention to resign from the acting world, despite circulating rumors, clarifying that she refuses to act in intimate scenes that include kissing.
Wafa was shocked a few weeks ago when she was offered a role in five different films, all of which include nudity and sexual content. The actress turned all five offers down, stressing that she refuses to play such roles that demoralize the actor and the audience.
According to the UAE based daily, Al Bayan, Wafa announced that she is currently taking part in three television dramas.
Wafa recently broke her foot as a result of a fall that occurred while taking private horseback riding lessons in preparation for her role as Shajarat Al Dur in the new television drama “Al Thaher Baibers.” (The Phenomenon Baibers) The drama, directed by Ibrahim Al Sha’rawi, is based on the last historical novel written by the late Taha Shalabi.
In a recent interview, the actress revealed that she does not fear competition amongst other actresses since the roles she plays are written especially for her and could not be played by anyone else.
