Wafa Amer turns down Shabaan Abdul Rahim in ''I Hate Israel''

Egyptian actress Wafa Amer has turned down Egyptian folk singer Shabaan Abdul Rahim for the leading role offered in his upcoming film "Ana Bakrah Israel" (I Hate Israel), which is also the name of the popular single for the singer. Wafa's decision came from the fact that she did not want to costar with Shabaan in order to steer away from the rumors that have circulated about a secret marriage between the two, reported the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat. 

 

Wafa said that the rumors have caused a number of problems for her with her family and psychologically, and she does not wish to put herself in a situation which might jeopardize her happy and stable marriage and family life, even if it means turning down a wonderful role as the one offered to her. 

 

Wafa marks the fourth actress who turns down Shabaan's offer to costar with him. Muna Shalabi, Sumaya Al Khatab, and Hind Sabri, who costarred with Shabaan in his previous film, have all declined and apologized for being unable to accept. 

 

Producer of the film has revealed that the next candidate nominated is Egyptian actress Ghada Rizik. He added that he has promised actress Madeline Tabir to accept her condition of doubling her parts in the film, which promises success with the theme tackled. 

 

On a different note, Wafa is costarring  

The Egyptian censors have sent out numerous warnings to Wafaa for wearing indecent and seductive cloths on stage while acting in the play “Imsik Hukoma” (Take Charge of a Government) with Tunisian actress Hind Sabri, and Egyptian actors Alaa Mursi, Salah Abdulah, and Ahmad Riziq; Jalal Al Sharqawi directs the play. The actres has ignored previous verbal warnings and went on wearing revealing outfits causing the censors to go in rage, 

 

The censors have warned the producer and director of the play threatening to take away their licenses if the actress does not abide by a certain dress code while appearing on stage. Representative from the censors have attended the screening of the play and reported that the appearance of the actress is inappropriate and too much is being revealed. –Albawaba.com
