After tough negotiations, director Said Hamed has convinced “Kid” Fairouze, ex-child star famed for her film roles along with Anwar Wajdy, to return to the big screen. Fairouze will costar in the film Awdet Al Zaman (Time and Again) produced by ART.

The film, scripted by Abdessalam Abu Alula, belongs to the fantasy comedy genre and is based on gathering the most famous kids of the Egyptian cinema.

The scenes start from the point where the kids left the silver screen while they were still small, through the use of their old films, computer illusions, graphics and the use of their video recordings on various occasions after their early “retirement” up to the present.

In addition to Fairouze, Hamed has secured a “yes” from Ahmed Farhat, famed for his film Takiyyat Alikhfaa (Hiding Hat), in which he starred along with Abdelmenem Ibrahim in the early 1960s.

This in addition to the acceptance of Ekram Ezzo, who currently resides in the Gulf area, and who achieved great fame for her performance in the film A’elat Zizi (The Zizi Family) along with Suad Hosni, Fuad Almuhandes and Ahmed Ramzi.

Hamed told the London-based daily Al Sharq Al Awsat that artist Safaa Abussaud had agreed to appear in the first and last scenes of the film as a guest of honor - Albawaba.com
