Director Mohssen Himli has begun searching for an actress to costar with Ali Al Hajjar in the play Samak Aser Al Hadhem (Hard-to-Digest Fish), which should hit the stage in the upcoming summer season, according to Akhbar Al Nujoom magazine.
Himli has tapped actress Dalal Abdel Aziz to star in the play, but she has not yet responded.
The play is being produced by the Art House for Popular Arts and is based on a Latin American text prepared by Sayyed Hijab.
The work deals with the impact of the media on public opinion, and the conniving by businessmen and politicians as they try to dominate the political scene by economic means. It also addresses the attitudes of developing nations towards globalization and the New World Order.
Costarring in the play are Tawfiq Abdel Hamid and Sami Magawri, who took a leading role, also with Hajjar, in the last show of Rasasah Fil Qalb (A Bullet in the Heart) - Albawaba.com
