Nicole and Ne-Yo's X-rated visit to Dubai
“Just landed in Dubai!” Scherzinger tweeted on Sunday night.
Ne-Yo quickly followed: “Dubai...how’ve you been? I’ve missed you. Tho my visit shall be brief, I leave a small piece of my heart here,” he tweeted, along with pictures of his suite in the luxurious hotel on the Palm. He then headed off to Cavalli Club last night much to the delight of the night haunt’s patrons.
It is not clear how long the stars will be in town, and Jumeriah would not comment on their guests’ visit.
Scherzinger, who left the X Factor US last season, is one of the new judges on Season 9 of the UK version, which recently started airing in the UK. She replaces Kelly Rowland, joining returning judges Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh.
Ne-Yo is a guest mentor of the “judge’s house” segment of the show, where each season, judges take the contestants they are mentoring to different parts of the world. Contestant names have been strictly kept under wraps since the audition rounds have only just been aired in the UK.
In 2009, judge Dannii Minogue filmed a segment of the show’s Season 6 at Atlantis, The Palm. She was joined by her pop star sister Kylie.
SPOILER ALERT: The judge’s house locations were recently revealed by a British tabloid. Scherzinger is in Dubai with her male solos 16 to 27 group. Contostavlos, who is mentoring the female solos 16 to 27 group will be travelling with them to the Caribbean while Walsh has the groups and will be taking them to Las Vegas. Barlow, who’s got the solo singers ages 28 and over will mentor them in London.
“Producers really wanted to up the ante this year with the destinations,” a source told the Daily Star. “Tulisa is thrilled to be going to the Caribbean, while Louis still can’t believe he’s off to Vegas. In eight previous years the furthest he has ever been is Barcelona. Gary was originally planning to be in Mallorca but that’s been changed to London so he can be close to his wife Dawn after the death of their baby Poppy.”
The X Factor UK does not air in the UAE.
