Whilst it's sad times for Egyptian actress Ghada Abdel Razik as she divorces her husband journalist Mohammad Fouda, Ghada is certainly no stranger to the land of splitsville!
Laha magazine reports that this Queen of Hearts has married not one, not two, but five different men in her lifetime. Move over Elizabeth Taylor, Ghada is catching up to your nine marriages!
To build a record like this Ghada entered her first marriage at the tender age of 17, to Saudi businessman Adeki Qazaz. This fruitful union resulted in Ghada's only daughter, Rotana. After seven years though Ghada decided to call it quits, making this partnership not just the first, but the longest of all her marriages.
Husband number two was an older gentleman whose difference in age created a rift shortly after marrying, ending quickly in divorce. Third time wasn't a charm for Ghada though as her next husband suffered a similarly short-lived union. Lucky husband number four was film producer Waleed Al Tabei, who produced two films for Ghada, enhancing her star status in the region. With Ghada's success growing on the back of Al Tabei's films, the cynical crowd assumed that this doomed marriage was for Ghada's personal advantage rather than love.
Ghada married her most recent husband, Fouda, in February 2012. Despite having a heated love affair for the past 20 years, the two decided to wed just two weeks after Ghada's daughter's wedding (maybe Ghada doesn't want to share the nuptial limelight?). It seems that going official with their union didn't help though as Ghada and Fouda's rocky time together resulted in three separations. As the last separation now officially becomes a divorce, according to Islamic teachings Ghada will need to marry and divorce another man before she can reunite with Mohammad.
Like we said, watch out Elizabeth Taylor!
