Yusra admits to portraying Hala Sarhan despite recent denial
Prominent Egyptian actress Yusra has revealed that the role she plays in her Ramadan television drama series "Lika Ala Al Hawa" (Lika on Air) is that of her dear friend Egyptian television announcer Dr. Hala Sarhan. Yusra has made her announcement after repeatedly denying that the character of Lika in the drama is a portrayal of Hala.
According to the London based daily, Al Quds Al Arabi, Yusra stressed that she is playing the role of Hala to the very tiniest detail like how she chooses her cloths, how she puts on her makeup and how she styles her hair. Yusra added that she is a very close friend of Hala and knows everything about her life and that she is such a successful person that it makes her proud to portray her in the television drama.
Recently, Yusra had denied that her drama "Lika Ala Al Hawa" tells the life of Dr. Sarhan. Yusra had noted that she learned a lot from Hala as an announcer to be able to play her role in the drama, but the series is not about Hala.
Yusra added that her character in the drama resembles that of Hala in real life but only in the sense that she is a very successful television announcer and hosts very popular shows that are very popular among viewers.
The drama revolves around the life of a successful talk show host who is willing to go to extremes to fight for what is right even if it means loosing everything she has.
