Yusra refuses to accept any upcoming roles as a mother
Prominent Egyptian actress Yusra has announced that she will not be accepting any upcoming television roles as a mother after her last performance in the Ramadan drama “Ayna Qalbi” (Where is My Heart). The actress said she had performed all the different roles of a mother of different generations from the mother of an infant to that of a teenager, and that it is time to move on reported the London based Elaph.
Regarding her role in the Egyptian movie "Ma'ali Al Wazir" (His Excellency the Minister), Yusra commented that she agreed to the role because it was a minor one.
In early March the Egyptian Film Oscar Festival jury announced its prizes during the closing ceremony held by the Cinema Art Association in the absence of Yusra and Ahmed Zaki who won the prizes for best actress and actor. Yusra won the prize as best actress for her role in the film al A’sefah (Thunderstorm) directed by Khaled Yousef but she did not attend the ceremony because she was busy with the play Lamma Baba Yanam (When Dad Sleeps).
Regarding her role in the Egyptian movie "Ma'ali Al Wazir" (His Excellency the Minister), Yusra commented that she agreed to the role because it was a minor one.
Yusra has recently recovered from an eye surgery she did during the Eid Al Fitir. The actress is now in good condition and has already begun working on preparing for her role in the upcoming movie “Ghadab” (Anger).
Yusra and El Sherif will star in the new movie directed by Yousuf Shahin, who decided to begin shooting for his new film on January 11, 2003. The film will take three months to shoot and should be ready by end of March. The movie will be shot between France and the US with scenes from Paris, New York, and California. -Albawaba.com
