Prominent Egyptian actress Yusra had expressed that she had been surprised that her TV drama "Malak Rouhi" was not on Egyptian TV during Ramadan, adding that what added sadness to her astonishment was that it was not an ordinary drama. Yusra noted that Egyptians had to go out to coffee shops to watch the drama because it was only shown on satellite channels.

According to the London based daily, Al Quds Al Arabi, in a personal interview Yusra revealed that success is a very big responsibility and this was the story with her after her success in the drama "Ain Qalbi" (Where is my Heart). She revealed that fans can accept another success easily but it’s very hard for them to see their stars fail. At the same time actors should offer different roles and avoid repeating themselves, the thing that Yusra said she had done with this year’s drama (Malak Ruhi).

Yusra said that she had intended to postpone the drama till next year, but the subject was so tempting that she feared other production companies would make it, so she rushed things up to have ready to air during this year's Ramadan.

The Egyptian actress added that she does not know the real reasons for not showing the drama during Ramadan but she thinks that it worked out for the best. Because there were many dramas competing and that would have affected the drama.

Yusra added that she will only work with one director, Magdi Abu Amirah, because he is very sensitive and sincere, in addition to the fact that he brings out the best in her. She asserted that every part she plays contain some characteristics in her own personality.

About a question why she turned to TV after being successful in cinema, Yusra revealed that she had been doing many dramas in the beginning of her career and she would never stop giving good works some thought. Yusra stressed that TV drama is a double-edged weapon that should be used very carefully and wisely.

Yusra stressed that despite her participation in different television dramas, her devotion to the cinema has not been affected. She revealed that she receives numerous offers to star in different films, a matter that proves that she is wanted on the big screen. The actress added that she recently completed shooting scenes for a new movie directed by Yusef Shahin, and is currently preparing for a new movie entitled "kalam Fi Alhob" (Words In Love), to be directed by Idris Ali. –Albawaba.com
