After her huge success with the Ramadan drama “Ayna Qalbi” (Where is My Heart), renowned Egyptian actress Yusra has just recovered from an eye surgery she did during the Eid Al Fitir. The actress is now in good condition and has already begun working on preparing for her role in the upcoming movie “Ghadab” (Anger), according to the Egyptian daily Al Messa.

In the film, Yusra plays the role of an American woman, Angy, who is the lover of an Egyptian film director Yahia (prominent Egyptian actor Nour El Sherief). The theme of the film revolves around an Egyptian director who has lived in the United States from the beginning of his film education up to the September 11th attack. It also portrays the relationship the two have and how all of the sudden the life of the director turns into a nightmare during the attacks on the US. At this moment Yahia begins to experience feelings of anger and hate towards his American girlfriend and finds himself hating everything in America.

Yusra and El Sherif will star in the new movie directed by Yousuf Shahin, who decided to begin shooting for his new film on January 11, 2003. The film will take three months to shoot and should be ready by end of March. The movie will be shot between France and the US with scenes from Paris, New York, and California.

Yusra won the prize for best actress after her role in the film al A’sefah (The Thunderstorm) directed by Khaled Yousef at the Egyptian Oscar Awards but she did not attend the ceremony because she was busy with the play Lamma Baba Yanam (When Dad Sleeps).

Noor Al Sherief first appearance on the screen was more than 30 years ago. In 1967 he played the role of Kamal Abdul Jawwad, a trilogy by Nobel Prize winner Najeeb Mahfouz. From that date onwards, his ability to stand in front of the camera improved no end. Later, he turned into directing movies, and in 1974, he managed to establish his own production company. – Albawaba.com
