He was spotted out and about with his American girlfriend Gigi Hadid on Thursday.
And earlier in the day Zayn Malik added to his ever-growing collection of tatttoos with a unique UV inking.
The 23-year-old British singer visited tattoo artist Jon Boy- a celebrity favourite in New York.
In a nod to Star Wars the Pillow Talk star had a miniature glow-in-the dark lightsaber tattoo etched into the side of his middle finger.
The inking was shared on his tattoo artist's instagram page with the caption: 'May the force be with you @zayn #uvink #starwars #jonboytattoo'.
Jon Boy then added a selfie of him and Zayn, writing: 'Gents #nyfw #jonboytattoo'.
Speaking previously about UV tattoos, Jon Boy said: 'I've been in the business for over 16 years. I remember when UV first hit the market.
At the time, it was fairly new so people were a little iffy about how safe it was. I've had mine for years. I recommend it.'
Meanwhile, Zayn recently joked that he was told to quit One Direction by 'an alien.'
Zayn - who left the group in March 2015 - revealed a visitation from an extra-terrestrial being in his dream made him realise he needed to leave the boy band, which also features Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Harry Styles.
Speaking to Glamour magazine about his revelation to quit the group, he said: 'An alien spoke to me in a dream.'
And the dark-haired heartthrob admitted the late 'Thriller' hitmaker Michael Jackson was his greatest musical influence and inspired him to embark on a career in the music industry.
Speaking about his inspiration, he said: 'No question: 'Thriller' by Michael Jackson.'
However, the 'PillowTalk' singer has an obsession with the late reggae musician Bob Marley, and regularly plays tribute to the 'One Love' hitmaker after his performances.
When asked about the first thing he does when he steps off of the stage, he said: 'Pay homage to Bob Marley.'
This week he was pictured putting on a loved up display with 21-year-old girlfriend Gigi as they enjoyed a date night in New York.
The duo split briefly this year but appear to be stronger than ever.
