It was a great bash while it lasted, but the party's over, Hollywood star Catherine Zeta Douglas said Monday, in her first British television interview since her wedding last month to Michael Douglas

She told GMTV the glitzy New York wedding was probably "the best day in my life, very formal but also a really great bash."

"I was stressed but I remember everything about it. I thought I would wake up the next day and it would all be a blur but I remember everything. It was a really great day."

"There was so much to do but at the end of the day it went off great. We're party people and we love to have fun."

But she added: "I don't think we will be renewing our vows for a while. The party is over."

The Welsh actress, who is promoting her new movie Traffic, in which she stars alongside her husband, said she was still getting used to her married name.

"It's weird that the doorman at the building where we live now calls me Mrs Douglas and I'm like, 'Who? Oh, that's me!'."

Douglas, 56, and his wife, 31, have a three-month-old son, Dylan

In her new film, about drugs-running on the US-Mexican border, she plays a housewife whose husband is a major dealer.
