Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has appointed three of its Emirati staff to senior financial roles in the airline’s offices in Australia, Ireland and the USA.
Abdulmohsen Ahmed Abdulmohsen Al Sayegh has been appointed Etihad’s Finance Manger in Australia, overseeing all finance operations in the airline’s offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Abdulmohsen, who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE, has gained significant experience with the airline in his managerial roles with in-flight services, and finance systems process re-engineering.
Ali Edris Sultan Haboosh Al Hebshi has been appointed the airline’s Finance Manager in Dublin. Ali has held finance positions in Etihad Head Office, facilitating outstation reporting and management accounting. Ali holds a Masters of Business Administration from Lynn University in the USA.
Amal Rashed Al Suwaidi will embark on a six month familiarisation program in New York, covering a range of different areas, including finance, commercial and operations. Amal received her Higher Diploma from Higher Colleges of Technology, UAE.

“The expertise of Emirati staff is crucial to the growth of our airline and the appointments are part of our strategy to attract and develop top Emirati talent for key roles in our expanding global network.”
The Etihad Airways Emiratisation Program continues to grow with an increasing number of Emiratis working in senior roles at the airline within Abu Dhabi and across Etihad’s expanding network.
The program offers a wide range of training opportunities for UAE nationals, including a cadet pilot scheme, a technical engineering development program and a graduate management development program.
Abdulmohsen, Ali and Amal will join 13 UAE nationals already holding senior posts in key outstations globally.
