Golden Systems Middle East, the leading distributor of IT products in the Middle East, today announced that together with its vendor-partners NVIDIA and GIGABYTE, it has sponsored GamesFest, the leading gaming event organised by Middle East Gamers, the UAE’s largest gaming website. GamesFest, which is being held at The Living Rooms Cafe at Dubai Festival City on 28th January 2011, aims to bring together gamers from around the UAE to participate in various tournaments and check out the latest offering from the video games industry.

NVIDIA will be showcasing VisionRacer VR3 racing simulator, which makes car racing as real as possible. The VisionRacer features a VR3 Rig, gear shifter mount, LCD and console stand where the gamer can plug it with his/her racing wheel, monitor and sound system to go racing. Visitors will have a chance to experience this sophisticated machine at the Golden Systems’ gaming room at the event.
At GamesFest, gamers will have the opportunity to try out new games that have officially not been released, participate in tournaments on both consoles and PC, as well as try out the latest gaming gear. Some of the highlights of GamesFest are the Video Game Showcase, where gamers can check out the latest video games from Sony PlayStation and games from Red entertainment such as the Call of Duty: Black Ops Tournament, where the country’s best gamers compete for the Call of Duty crown, the StarCraft II Tournament, where gamers can participate in tournament and win some top prizes. The event, which is free for visitors, promises to offer lots of entertainment, hourly competitions and a twitter competition.
