Hosted by Eton Institute, the UAE’s largest language and professional training centre, the event will include an entire day of culture and language experiences conducted by the Institute, with diverse languages as Mandarin, German, French, Japanese and Arabic being featured on the program. Eton Institute will also be offering their signature teacher training demo lesson, express computer workshops and business skills training for free on the day for all visitors.
Moaz Khan, Marketing Manager at Eton Institute commented: “We all get so caught up with everyday commitments, work, family, that we often forget ourselves. Better U is one day when you concentrate on spoiling yourself while developing new skills, all absolutely for free. With over a 100 activities, we guarantee that you will be able to try things you have never done before – from speaking a foreign language to sushi rolling. Don’t forget to bring along your friends and family and of course leave your wallets at home!”
Better U 2011 will feature a range of free activities for all ages supported by participating organisations. Visitors can learn how to live holistically with yoga, neuro-feedback therapy, martial arts, and fitness classes, as well as learn a new language, how to make your own jewellery, indulge in art and photography, or even learn how to brew that perfect latte! FREE crèche facility and children’s activities are available for parents who wish to participate in activities while their children learn and play under the supervision of qualified professionals.
Visitors will also get a chance to support a number of the UAE’s non-profit organisations at the event, from enjoying traditional Arabic coffee courtesy of the Sheikh Mohammed Center for Cultural Understanding to giving an abandoned animal a second chance by adopting from the Dubai Animal Rescue Center. Other non-profits that will be raising awareness for their causes include Al Noor Training Center for Children with Special Needs, Adopt a Laborer, Manzil Special Needs School and the Maria Christina Foundation.
