Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University celebrates UAE’s 39th National Day

Hamdan Bin Mohammed e-University (HBMeU), a leader in the field of e-Learning and quality management in the Arab World, celebrated the UAE's 39th National Day at the Al Boom Tourist Village in Dubai on Saturday, November 27, 2010. As part of the celebrations, the University organised a series of cultural and entertainment events in collaboration with the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) and Al Boom Tourist Village.

In his address during the festivities, Dr. Mansour Al Awar, Chancellor of HBMeU, said, "On the 39th anniversary of the founding of our beloved country, I would like to congratulate the Emirati people, and convey my congratulations to H.H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President; H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai; and H.H. Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince, and President of HBMeU."

"Moreover, on this special occasion that is celebrated under the theme 'KULLUNNA KHALIFA', I would also like to reaffirm our deep commitment to fulfill our responsibility of helping realize our President's vision in reinforcing the UAE's reputation as among the most advanced countries in the world. Being the pioneering institution for e-learning and distant learning in the UAE and the region, we, the university's management, faculty and learners, are going to exert all efforts necessary to help make our leaders' vision and ambitions a reality. We will achieve this through innovation and reforms in education that will equip the young generation with the right social skills and academic qualifications to enable them to contribute in sustaining the growth and development of the UAE across all sectors of the society," added Dr. Al Awar.

HBMeU is the first e-learning institute in the Arab World that was established with the vision to develop a new learning process through the implementation of learning practices characterised by flexibility, quality and diversity to strengthen self-leadership among learners and prepare them socially and academically for a future career through integration in the job market. HBMeU's philosophy is based on vital methods that have been developed through extensive research and development by specialists from all over the world. These methods include offering high quality programs, supporting the pursuit of lifelong learning, promoting the freedom of information, reinforcing the culture of excellence and innovation and providing education for everyone in line with the highest standards of comprehensiveness and credibility.
