Partnerships
Injazat forged key partnerships with some of the region’s top corporate names over the past 12 months. It inked a three-year contract to provide a Managed Print Service to Abu Dhabi–based gas company Dolphin Energy. It also formed a partnership with ALROWAD IT Solutions to deliver a comprehensive range of information technology services and products. A go-to-market MOU with the UAE’s integrated telecom service provider du consolidates Injazat’s state-of-the-art managed networked IT services with du’s and Injazat’s combined market-leading telecommunication services and business solutions.

Management Reorganization
Former Injazat CEO Ibrahim Lari was promoted as Managing Director to start a series of new appointments aimed at strengthening the company’s leadership. Bala Pandalangat was named new CEO while Saeed Basweidan was chosen as the new COO.
Events
Injazat was actively involved in a number of major events this year, including the 2010 edition of the Data Centre Strategies Middle East forum where the company’s Tier IV data centre won during the first-ever Data Centre Strategies Middle East Awards. It participated in the latest edition of the IDC Middle East CIO Summit; the 2nd edition of Gulf C4iSR, the leading military communications conference and exhibition in the Gulf; the Abu Dhabi leg of the 2010 IDC Storage, Virtualization and Datacenter Roadshow; the 2nd Annual Arab Outsourcing Conference & Expo; the AmCham Business Round Tables Summit; and the 4th Abu Dhabi Economic Forum where Injazat showcased its advanced ICT solutions portfolio led by its award-winning data centre.
The company also hosted a joint symposium by IT Service Management Forum (itSMF Gulf), the only internationally-recognized and independent organisation dedicated to IT Service Management, and BCS ME, the regional arm of the BCS Chartered Institute for IT. Another notable event was the Datacenter Dynamics Dubai conference, the local edition of the world’s top data center events network covering 36 countries.
Capabilities and Services
The Injazat Institute (Ti2), Injazat’s business-oriented career development initiative, collaborated with software giant Microsoft to train employees on the use of the new Microsoft Exchange Server 2010. Injazat was the first organization in the region to be chosen as an early adopter of the latest version of the collaborative software. Injazat also announced that the Injazat Service Desk, the company’s central point of contact for handling customer concerns and providing technical support, has logged its one-millionth ticket.
Marking yet another major development, Injazat also announced that 11 more of its staff, including a UAE National, were certified under the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Service Managers Program. Injazat now has 28 certified managers who have completed this program, making the company host to the highest number of Certified ITIL Service Managers in the region.
Injazat Data Systems was founded in 2005 and now serves over 20 clients and 10,000 public and private sectors end-users. It employs around people of more than 32 nationalities and operates the Middle East first design-certified Tier IV data centre. Its extensive portfolio of ICT services includes IT strategizing, IT consultancy, systems integration, and outsourcing of IT and business functions.
