Foreign Affairs Minister Nasser Judeh said Thursday Jordan's participation came as a response to a call made by the legitimate president.
Last month the Lebanese Army received a shipment of 30 tanks and 12 howitzers from Jordan.

Negotiations for an arms deal between Lebanon and Russia has been disrupted due to the EU sanctions on Moscow over the Ukraine crisis, local daily As-Safir said Tuesday.
Jordan said Tuesday it has signed a framework agreement with Russia for the construction of the first nuclear power plant in the kingdom at a cost of $10 billion (9.2 billion euros).
