Jordan's back: Amman flares up again

Jordan demands reforms and things get ugly again in July after a relatively quiet, protest-free period since March.
On The "Re" In Reform
After a few months reprieve and peace while Jordan watched its neighbors revolt, they've decided to re-enter the fray or at least consider it: 'No more waiting, waiting staying silent til we grow old', said one Jordanian demonstrator-- in reference to the common stereotype being used in other parts of the Arab world. 'We're not Jordanian, we don't bite our tongues and stay quiet" they said in Egypt and Tunisia.
"I have to admit, in the beginning, that I've been quiet for a long while for more than one reason, but mainly out of the void of something useful to say; Having said that, I imagine that today's events in Amman, are as about useful of a reason to speak as one could have."

Why did the Syrian Authorities Photoshop a Swearing-In Picture?
"There is speculation over at The Guardian over whether this photo of the Syrian President swearing in the new Hama Governor is authentic or fake."

It All Ends...
" "My childhood has just ended"...
I've heard this sentence so many time these past couple of days.
With the last Harry Potter movie, it all ended indeed.
These novels were a huge part of my life."

The Beating of a Garbage Collector
"After seeing the video, many Saudi decided to try to find the inhuman creature on it, especially on twitter using the hash-tag #3malahRights."
"If you are in Saudi Arabia please help by showing everyone this video.
This might be a step towards a big change in the way those poor workers are treated in here."

Egypt: Tahrir protests cheat sheet
"It's hard to keep following the consequences and outcomes of the protests and sit-ins that began last Friday. Here's a quick cheat sheet.
The military is beginning to confirm that parliamentary elections will be around November, resolving the confusion over the fact that there is little time to prepare for their original stated schedule of September. The electoral registration and campaign period will begin in September, but the actual voting will be a month and a half or so later. I got it from the horse's mouth."

The debate of the decade
"Something interesting is happening in Jordan. People want to discuss issues, and they are finding more and more forums to do so. A few weeks ago, I attended two such events. The first was the "Debate on Advantages and Disadvantages of Nuclear Energy" organized by Edama and held on the 28th of June at the Landmark Hotel."
