Razan returns despite recent scandal

The Egyptian satellite television channel “Al Hayat” has
announced a number of important new changes that will take place, among which
is the return of Lebanese television host Razan Moughrabi after she had been laid
off a year ago. Razan was removed from the channel after a scandalous video was
circulated of her acting in a very provocative and inappropriate manner.
The channel had announced that it wants to hire non-Egyptian
journalists in the upcoming period to be able and reach out to a wider span of
audiences from around the Arab world.
Along with Lebanese famous television host George Kirdahi
and Lebanese singer Rula Saed, the channel decided to bring Razan back on its
team to present a new competition program.
Officials at the channel felt that giving Razan a year off
was enough time to have people forget about the scandal and make a fresh return
to her audience.
