Egyptian folk singer Saed Al Sughair was kidnapped by a former member of his band while returning home from a concert accompanied by his band. The former band member named Ahmad had torn all the seats of the van that belongs to Saed’s band and kidnapped Saed in his car taking away his cellular phone and all the money he had, which was said to be 1500 Egyptian pounds.

Ahmad had demanded a ransom of 50 thousand Egyptian pounds to set Saed free, but later on let him go without taking the ransom.

Saed’s band had immediately notified the police and Ahmad was arrested.

After investigating with Ahmad, it was revealed that Saed had fired him over a financial dispute between them.
