Nope, porn star Mia Khalifa is not joining Bigg Boss
The adult film star's Instagram was hacked earlier this week, just as rumors emerged she might be joining the Indian reality series, Bigg Boss. (Twitter)
The world got a big dose Mia Khalifa this week, since her Instagram was hacked and an Indian newspaper claimed she was considering an invitation to join the Indian spin off reality show, Bigg Boss.
The bizarre television show mirrors the UK's Celebrity Big Brother, where famous figures are locked into house together and cut off completely from the outside world.
Both things made the American-Lebanese porn star's online persona shoot into more fame than usual. Indian users on social media went wild with the news, just as Khalifa was busy reporting the Instagram hacking.
But the excitement didn't last long. By Wednesday, apparently from her non-hacked Twitter account, Khalifa said she would not be "stepping foot in India."
Let's get something clear: I am never stepping foot in India, so whomever said I have "shown interest" in being on Big Boss should be fired— Mia Khalifa (@miakhalifa) September 15, 2015
As for Instagram? The adult film star announced Sunday her account had been compromised. An unknown hacker logged in, deleted photos and uploaded a Saudi Arabian flag and an audio clip of the Saudi national anthem. By Wednesday, Khalifa had addressed that, too.
Don't follow any new accounts that claim to be mine on Instagram - especially if they use poor punctuation. I'm getting it back, y'all— Mia Khalifa (@miakhalifa) September 15, 2015
