Losing your 'treasure' or relationship to get richer

Treasure lost is sometimes treasure gained, if keeping the 'jewel' costs you more.
When to let go of your treasure hunt?
A psychological notion presented as the familiar language of treasure acquisitions through life and what you're set to lose when you hit troubled waters or maybe a rock. Do you give up your 'gold' be that a partner, relationship or other beloved if fighting on might cost you too much in heartache and health?
"You may not like to be called a treasure hunter or a gold digger but for the sake of this post imagine you are a treasure hunter. After a long and a troublesome sail over the sea you found a big box of gold in one of the islands. But while in the middle of the sea, heading back home, the sea experienced some turbulence that caused some damage to your boat."

Syrian uprisings and official vs. decentralized communications
Revolutions now seem like everyday news, and some of the excitement has been inevitably tainted by the continued bloodshed and violent crackdowns from Libya to Bahrain and Yemen and recently Syria. Though it seems like one needs to up the anti to capture our imagination or sustained attention, here's a close-up cross section of image versus reality being played out in Syria under the scrutiny of an increasingly awakened and keen world audience.
"The world looks at Syria for the first time in decades, while hundreds of thousands of citizens demonstrate against the regime that has ruled the country for almost 50 years. While hundreds of protesters were killed according to many reports, the official version shows quite a different picture. The gap between the state-controlled narritave and what the population is witnessing is growing bigger as citizens share and build upon their own narrative with the tools provided by the Internet."

When is the best age to learn a new language?
"As a teacher parents always ask me this question. When can my child start learning a new language? Well….Studies have shown that adolescents and adults are in many ways better at learning a new language than children, except in the area of pronunciation. This is probably because they are already literate in their first language and can use some of their knowledge about language and language learning when learning the second language. However, this doesn’t answer the important question: What’s the best age to learn a new language?"

Jordan and the Fever of Change
"The Fever of change swept the Arab world, vastly. Some for the causes of freedom, dignity and justice, others for the reasons of unemployment and poverty. At the end, a loud cry for comprehensive change and reform. Analysts and politicians scramble, trying to forecast and predict the following state or country to fall, in the midst of this continuum, and hardly analyzing the reasons or forces relating to this fever."

"Sometimes it’s funny how the mind works. You start thinking about one thing and you end up in an entirely different place but it is completely associated with the first thought. What the heck am I talking about? Well, I’ll tell you. It all started with Google…as most things do these days."
