Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts is aiming for 20 per cent of its hotels, resorts and cruises to be Green Globe Certified by the end of this year
The five Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts strategically located in Jordan’s key historical and leisure locations are the first hotels in the Kingdom to receive Green Globe Certificates, the premier global certification for sustainability.
The Jordanian properties include the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Dead Sea, the Mövenpick Resort & Residence Aqaba, the Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay Aqaba and two hotels in Petra, the Mövenpick Resort Petra and the Mövenpick Nabatean Castle Hotel. All hotels were recently audited and measured in over 350 norms and standards.
From key indicators on energy usage, water consumption and waste output management to employee training and implementation of customer satisfaction measures, the five properties achieved outstanding results and placed themselves on the global top ranking list of Green Globe.
