Ahmadinejad survives bomb attack
An Iranian website on Wednesday reported that a handmade grenade has exploded near President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's convoy in western Iran. The website, khabaronline.ir, conveyed the blast took place Wednesday in Hamedan as the Iranian leader was about to address a crowd. The Iranian president was unhurt. Ahmadinejad gave his speech as planned and it was broadcast live on state TV.
Al Arabiya reported the bomb had hit a car carrying journalists and presidential staff.
