Gaza Strip: Palestinian killed, two others wounded
Palestinian medical sources said Tuesday that a Palestinian was killed and two others were wounded in an Israeli artillery bombardment of an hill east of Abu Safiya camp, northern Gaza Strip. Abu Adham Salam from the Gaza emergency service identified the victim as 20 years old Amjad Za'anin. The Palestinian news agency Wafa reported that "civilians who were collecting pebbles in the area were targeted by Israeli occupation forces."
Earlier, reports said several Israeli tanks entered the northern part of the Gaza Strip, near the town of Beit Hanun. The tanks, which entered around 400 metres into the Palestinian territory, were accompanied by a bulldozer.
