Iran denies Kuwaiti espionage charges
Iranian authorities have denied charges of espionage made by a Kuwaiti court last week against three of its citizens, saying it was "completely wrong". Mehr news agency quoted Iran's intelligence minister as saying: "These accusations are completely false, and Kuwait did not provide any evidence to the involvement of Iran.
A Kuwaiti court last week charged seven people with spying for Iran, among them a Kuwaiti soldier and three Iranians, including a woman. All the seven suspects denied the charges, asserting that they have confessed under pressure.
The charges against them include collecting and transfering information relating to the Kuwaiti military facilities to a foreign country.
