Iran dismantles Mossad cell behind assassination
Iran's Intelligence Ministry says it had detained perpetrators behind the assassination of Dr. Massoud Ali-Mohammadi, a lecturer at the University of Tehran. Iran added it succeeded to dismantle a network comprising of Israeli spies and terrorists, Fars news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement on Monday.
It added that Israeli intelligence service Mossad has used bases in certain European and non-European countries as well as Iran's neighboring states in an attempt to achieve its goals. The statement noted that the bases have also been used in the assassination of the Iranian scientist.
On July 12, Iranian nuclear physics scientist Ali-Mohammadi was killed in a remote-controlled bomb attack in the Iranian capital, Tehran. The bombing took place near the professor's home in northern Tehran.
