Iran says Amiri was double agent
Tehran said on Thursday that the nuclear scientist Shahram Amiri who has returned from the United States after he disappeared in mysterious circumstances was a double agent. Iranian sources said Amirir returned to Tehran, carrying with him classified information obtained from the Central Intelligence Agency, Fars News Agency which is close to the security services and the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, reported.
Iran has accused the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States of abducting Amiri as he performed the Umrah last year.
Meanwhile, it seems that Tehran plans to convert Amiri into a "national hero." Iran is expected to produce a film which will tell his story.
According to the Iranian media, the fate of Amiri is still unknown since his return a week ago of the country. There is no information on his whereabouts.
