Turkey vows to break Gaza siege
Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met Hamas politburo chief Khaled Meshaal, on Monday Damascus, to discuss a number of files related to the Palestinian issue. A Turkish news agency said, among others, they have talked about possible ways to bridge differences between Hamas and Fatah.
This meeting was attended by several members of the Hamas political bureau. The sides also discussed ways to break the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, Palestinian reconciliation and recent developments in the Palestinian arena.
For his part; the Turkish minister stressed his country's support for the Palestinian issue and noted that Turkey will continue to make efforts to break the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip. He also stressed Turkey's determination to get an Israeli apology for the "massacre" of Turkish peace activist on the Marmara ship as well as compensation for the families of the martyrs and the wounded along with the formation of an independent international commission of inquiry.
