Mashreq, one of the leading UAE financial institutions recently organized its bi-annual blood donation campaign. The campaign which was held in collaboration with the ‘Blood Donation Centre’ in Al Wasl Hospital comes in line with the bank’s corporate social responsibility program and responsibilities.

The blood donation campaign was held at Mashreq offices in Dubai Outsource Zone, with the participation of 120 employees. The blood donation is a directed to support Thalassemia patients, who are constantly in need of blood every 3-4 weeks.

Mohd Al Atassi, Head of Corporate Communications at Mashreq said, “As a UAE National organization, it is our responsibility to play an active role in the community and ensure that participation in various issues that benefit the society.”

Al Atassi added: “Blood donation campaigns are one of our CSR activities within the bank that we ensure to take place across the year. It is also an ongoing humanitarian condition within the organization. At Mashreq, we stress on raising awareness towards donating blood as its essential not only for those in need but for the donor’s health.”
