The National of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the Number One Bank in the UAE, has received several ISO certifications for different departments, which affirms the Bank’s ongoing commitment to excellence.
“NBAD is committed to implementing world class standards technologies and procedures in its operations and transactions,” said Abdullah M.S. AbdulRaheem, the Group Chief Operation Officer of NBAD.
NBAD has received ISO 9001-2008 certfication of its Business Planning & Strategy, Human Resources Group, Trade Finance Centre, and Trade Finance Department by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), one of the world’s leading accreditation bodies.
“Winning ISO Certification for one business department and three that support operations affirms that NBAD invests in our business to assure we remain complaint with the best international practices,” Mr. AbdulRaheem said.
In 2009 and 2010 NBAD’s Corporate Banking Group and Call Centre, received ISO 9001-2008 certification.
“Being one of the earliest business groups to be certified, Implementing ISO 9001-2008 in Corporate Banking Group has helped us in streamling our corporate client management processes and internal operations. I am very pleased that all our corporate offices in the UAE have implemented the new quality management system under this certification,” said Abdulla Bin Khalaf Al Otaiba, the General Manager of Corporate Banking Group and Deputy Senior General Manager of Corporate and Investment Banking Division at NBAD.
Another recipient of the ISO certification, NBAD’s Human Resources Group aims to keep NBAD the employer of choice for UAE nationals and expatriates by enhancing its compensation packages with facilities and opportunities for training and career advancement in the industry. The Bank has received several awards, as a result.
“Receiving ISO 9001-2008 confirms that NBAD’s Human Resources Group is dedicated to adopting and delivering services that are best in class globally,” said Ehab Anis Hassan, the Group chief Human Recourses Officer at NBAD.
Rola Abu Maneh, the General Manage of Wholesale Banking Group at NBAD, said: “The pursuit of ISO 9001-2008 certification by the Trade Finance Department is part of our plan for continuous improvement. ISO 9001-2008 is a quality frame work that ensures a deeper understanding of customer requirements and processes and enhances customer satisfaction through continual improvement. We are certain that this certification enables the Trade Finance Department to further enhance the levels of service we deliver to our valued customers.”
