The National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), the Number One Bank in the UAE, is proud to be the main sponsor of National Exhibition for Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) 2010 be held from December 13-15, 2010 in Dubai and from December 16 to 19, 2010 in Abu Dhabi.

The National Exhibition for SME 2010 aims to promote and support SME sector and facilitate its growth.

SME is one of the fastest growing segments in the UAE market and is rapidly gaining dominance in the business environment. Supporting SME is a strategic goal for governmental and semi-governmental departments in the UAE.

NBAD is part of the DNA of Abu Dhabi, and this sponsorship confirms the Bank's commitment to serving and building Abu Dhabi and the wider UAE by supporting and financing different economic sectors to achieve Abu Dhabi Vision 2030.

"Since its inception in 1968, NBAD has been playing a significant and leading role in the economic and social development of the UAE," said Saif Al Shehhi, the Senior General Manager of NBAD's Domestic Banking Division.

To this end, the Bank has established the Commercial Banking Group to look after the SME businesses and offer a full range of business banking products and services.

The Commercial Banking Group at NBAD aims to develop the best solutions for financial transactions of all companies operating in the commercial segment through the Bank's extensive branch network in the UAE and specialised products.

"By catering to the demands of SMEs, NBAD's Commercial Banking is fulfilling a major role as well as ensuring that the financial system is functioning and expanding smoothly," said Haitham Al Refaie, the Head of Commercial Banking at NBAD.
