National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has launched yesterday (Sunday) the second session of its 2011 Summer Internship Program. The custom-made program consists of two-week courses specially designed for high school & college students aged between 15 and 20 years.
NBK Group Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Isam J. Al Sager said that NBK views the Summer Internship Program as an extension of NBK's education outreach services. The program demonstrates NBK’s long-standing social involvement as well as its commitment to providing the young generations with the appropriate opportunities to experience first hand how the actual professional banking issues and transaction are handled and processed.
Al Sager added that the 5-hour daily sessions feature a mixture of theoretical and practical training dedicated to providing the interns with invaluable knowledge on a variety of subjects such as; the team work, creative thinking, means of self expression and modern banking work procedure, in addition to helping interns to have greater exposure to daily banking work procedures.
NBK regularly organizes and designs events for the youth to improve their skills and familiarize them with banking and finance.
