“Rhythm of the Dance” to Storm Abu Dhabi And Dubai This Month
Get ready to dance with Rhythm of the Dance, who are due to perform in Dubai and Abu Dhabi this month, after dancing on different stages throughout the world. More than three million people around the globe have enjoyed the wonderful steps of the amazing dancers. Just recently, they performed in Portugal and Argentina.
Khaleej Times reports that the heavily costumed Irish show will be performing at the Tennis Stadium in Dubai and at The Club in Abu Dhabi on January 29 and 30. "The Irish Dance Spectacular" represents an entirely new concept in Irish entertainment, using the spirit of national dances, songs and story-telling combined with modern stage technology.
At the Deira Ramada Continental Hotel on Sunday, Richard Coram of the Talent Brokers said that the Rhythm of the Dance show, which was created over three years ago, had a “good cross-over appeal”.
Rhythm of the Dance is a breathtaking production featuring a marvelous blend of traditional culture. The two-hour dynamic dance and music thrill contains an overwhelmingly burst of talent. Other than dancing, it also performs “Red-Hot Salsa, Classical Ballet, Tap Dancing, Flamenco and Jazz”, according to Coram. One of Ireland's leading musicians and composers, Carl Hesson wrote the original score for Rhythm of the Dance.
One of the sponsors, Mark Lloyd of the Dubai Foreign Ministry said "This type of cultural show is catching up these days. We are looking forward to the 30 taps a second performance. We are proud to be part of this show and will certainly give it the maximum coverage."
Events, Advertising & Media Co-ordination Manager of Dubai Duty Free (DDF), Sinead El Sibai, said that the DDF, which originated in Ireland in 1947, and has become a $20 billion business, was happy to be involved as a sponsor of the Irish dance show in the UAE.
VIP Tickets are priced at Dh250 and regular ones at Dh125. They will be available from January 12 from Spinneys (Jumeirah Video Section, Ramada Video Section and Trade Center Road), Planet Hollywood, Virgin Megastore (Deira City Center, BurJuman Center) and The Aviation Club's box office at the Tennis Stadium.
