Ahmadinejad hails successful launching of satellite
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Tuesday described the successful launching of Omid data-processing satellite as a "very big source of pride" for Iran and said the project improved Iran’s status in the world.
Making the remarks after the launching ceremony of the satellite, the Iranian leader congratulated the nation and the experts involved in the project. Highlighting the fact that both the satellite and the rocket used to launch it were manufactured in full by Iranian experts, the president pointed out that Iranian technologists and scientists were still working on improving the technology used in the satellite and expressed happiness that Iranian scientists have been quite successful in carrying out the first phase of the project which included having the satellite in its orbit.
According to IRNA, Ahmadinejad further said that Iran mastered the complete technological procedure and possessed all equipment needed in the satellite. He said Iran used its achievements in all scientific areas for peaceful purposes and to serve the ideal goal of promoting fraternity and friendship all over the world. According to the president, the negative propaganda ploy underway against Iran in the past three decades not only failed to bar Iran’s progress but got the nation to a point where it is now conquering the peaks of glory and progress one after another.
He advised enemies of Iran to stop their “useless” negative propaganda against Iran and said all world nations will be happy by Iran’s latest achievement.
