Al-Markazia launches the new Prado 2010 in Jordanian Market
Central Trade and Auto Co, Al-Markazia, the exclusive dealer of Toyota in the Kingdom revealed the new model of Toyota Prado 2010 during a press conference that gathered a number of media representatives on Tuesday 24th November 2009.
Mr. Nadim Haddad, Al Markazia’s Marketing Manager said: “We are excited to be launching the new highly advanced Toyota Prado 2010 in the Kingdom. The eagerly awaited new Prado comes with the highest standards of strength, durability and style to satisfy all tastes”. He also added: “Since the launch of its first generation model in 1996, Toyota Prado has successfully retained its status as one of the most reliable cars in the world, and now with its new advanced features and capabilities the new model will have an even stronger presence in the market, further increasing its popularity both regionally and across the world”.
The new Land Cruiser Prado 2010 is the latest in the procession of existing Toyota SUV cars, inheriting the originality and durability of the predecessor Land Cruiser and Prado cars, combining high performance and superior off-road capabilities with its distinctive sophisticated design.
With its powerful and commanding 4WD, Prado shines in rough terrain, as it incorporates numerous innovative technologies such as the Multi-terrain Select, Multi-terrain Anti-lock Braking System with Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Crawl Control, and the Multi-terrain Monitor which is connected to 4 cameras (front, back, right side and left side) that display six different views of the terrain. All of these technologies along with the Multi-terrain Select and the Steering Angle Display assure the driver enjoys the best off-road experience.
The new Prado comes with two powerful engines, the 4.0L V6 Gasoline Engine 1GR-FE and the 2.7 L4 Gasoline Engine 2TR-FE, associated with a 5-speed Super-Intelligent ECT.
In addition to its strength, durability and outstanding off-road performance, Toyota Prado comes with a developed frame and exterior design that reflects its luxuriousness, while its spacious and distinctively comfortable cabin assures the satisfaction of all on board.
It also includes other advanced features such as the Smart Entry and Start System, the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System, 150 liter Fuel tank capacity, Bluetooth system, DVD player, JBL Surround System and Rear Seat Entertainment System.
According to Haddad, the new systems and development such as the (KDSS) frame gives Prado the stability and full control while off-roading or driving in the city. These systems include the crawl control system that provides optimal throttle and brake control maintaining a constant low speed to support reliable and safe driving on sand, dirt, rock, snow, mud, steep grades or other surfaces that require accelerator control.
Mr. Haddad said: “I am delighted to introduce the new (Land Cruiser) Prado following a complete facelift of the model for the first time in seven years. The specifications of the new Prado, such as its reliability and control inherited from previous Land Cruiser cars in all driving conditions, have improved its performance in city streets and off-road, making the new Prado highly appealing”.
Haddad concluded the conference by saying: “At Al-Markazia, we are proud to introduce a model of such high caliber into the Jordanian market, further increasing the variety of choices we offer to our customers, based on suitability and requirements. We hope that we have been able to shed some light on the latest technology featured in the Prado 2010, which provides comfort and peace of mind to our customers, at all times and in all locations. The continuous improvements carried out by Toyota to its cars affirm its position as leaders in the global market.”
