Algerian Suspect May Face Deportation from US
An Algerian man suspected of links to an alleged international plot to blow up US buildings will be handed over to US immigration authorities for probable deportation, reported the Seattle Times Sunday, quoting US officials as saying.
Abdel Hakim Tizegha, 29, was arrested near Seattle on Dec 24th, 1999, and charged with illegally entering the United States from Vancouver, where he had gone after being denied political asylum by US authorities, the daily said.
US District Judge sentenced Tizegha, who pleaded guilty to entering the country illegally, to the time he had already served in detention since his arrest, the Seattle Times said - Albawaba.com
