Almarai Wins Two Effie Awards
Almarai has won two GEMAS effie MENA Awards for its two successful Fresh Cream and Vetal Digest campaigns.
The GEMAS effie MENA Awards encourage effectiveness among marketing communications companies across the Middle East and North Africa. They recognize the best achievers who implement best international practices in the advertising industry every year.
Widely respected for their quantifiable and transparent results, the GEMAS effie MENA Awards combine Gulf Marketing Review magazine (GMR) Effectiveness in Marketing Awards (GEMAS), and the internationally renowned Effies Awards.
Almarai's Fresh Cream campaign: The Perfect...Perfected! won a silver Effie, while the bronze award went to the launch campaign for Almarai Vetal Probiotics range (Laban & Zabadi). Almarai's winning entries were executed by Almarai's marketing team, creative agency TBWA\RAAD\Saudi Arabia and Saudi MediaVest.
Almarai's silver winning entry aimed to increase sales and market share, and position Almarai fresh cream as a must have dip everyday and outside Ramadan or special occasions.
Following the campaign, Almarai fresh cream sales increased and market share soared to record highs. According to the research company Nielsen, Almarai Gishta brand perception was the highest among other competitors after the campaign.
Mr. Hussam Abdul Qader, GM Marketing for Almarai, received the awards at a gala night held Thursday at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abdul Qader thanked his team, TBWA\RAAD\Saudi Arabia and Saudi MediaVest.
"The fact that our two entries won the award means the campaigns were effective and on target. And that vouches for the effectiveness of our marketing and communications approach which is driven by our permanent commitment to offering best quality products to our valued customers", added Abdul Qader.
