American forces continued with air strikes in Iraq, a senior U.S. defense official confirmed Wednesday, despite threats by ISIS militants to execute a second Western journalist.
“There have been additional strikes since yesterday,” the unnamed official told AFP.
The strikes come after a video showing the beheading of U.S. photojournalist James Foley, was released by ISIS.
Foley had been missing since covering the Syrian war in November 2012.
