Armed Palestinian Attacks Settlement in the Jordan Valley; Kills One, Injures Four

One Israeli soldier was killed and at least four other Israelis were injured Wednesday night after a Palestinian gunman infiltrated and attacked the Hamra settlement in the Jordan valley. Of the wounded Israelis, one was moderately injured and the other suffered light injuries. One report indicated the Palestinian attacker managed to flee the area.
According to initial reports, an armed Palestinian entered the green-houses area of the settlement and opened fire. Israeli troops and security guards exchanged fire with him, reported Israel Radio. (Albawaba.com)
