AUC awards lead scholarships to 57 top Egyptian students
A ceremony welcoming the sixth group of the Leadership for Education and Development program (LEAD) scholarship recipients.
The program offers full tuition scholarships to students -- one male and one female - from each of Egypt’s 29 governorates.
LEAD is a joint program of the US Agency for International Development, the Egyptian Ministry of International Cooperation and The American University in Cairo.
U.S. Ambassador to Egypt Margaret Scobey, USAID Mission Director Hilda M. Arellano, Cairo Governor Abdel-Azim al-Wazir, Assiut Governor General Nabil El-Ezaby, and AUC President David D. Arnold.
