Secretary of Fateh Movement in the West Bank, Marwan Barghouthi, said that the Israeli “aggressive” measures against the Palestinian people and PA headquarters late Monday reveal Israel’s political “bankruptcy.”
In a statement to Albawaba.com, Barghouthi said that Israel’s attempt to curb the Intifada was to no avail, stressing that “the Intifada will continue.”
“Israeli leaders,” the secretary said, “ have to realize that the only solution to the Intifada is the [Israeli] withdrawal from all Palestinian territories.”
The Fateh leader had stressed in several TV interviews the need for the continuation of the Intifada until the embodiment of Palestinian statehood.
