Overall exports from the Bekka region, the Lebanon valley, grew last month 53.7 percent increasing from LL 3.13 billion to LL 4.81 billion, a-Safir daily reports. During the month of November, exports from the region augmented by LL 1.681 billion compared to November 1998. Spare parts comprised the largest portion of exports at 23.49 percent followed by potatoes, fruits and vegetables at 22.37 percent and glass houseware at 18.46 percent. The region's biggest importer was Saudi Arabia taking in 36.55 percent of the goods, followed by Syria at 27.7 percent and Jordan at 14.47 percent.
