Belyazid hails new Maghreb Movie Association

The three North African countries – Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria - have set up their joint movie association. According to the August 18 edition of Aujourd'hui Le Maroc, the new body is aimed at promoting this art.

"This is a praiseworthy strong initiative that will allow in a better way to promote the North African movie throughout the world," Farida Belyazid, one of Morocco’s best known moviemakers said following the creation of the Association of the Maghreb Movies.
