Bomb Explodes near Israeli Soldiers in Jenin, No Injuries Reported
An explosive device went off Sunday near a bus full of Israeli soldiers on their way to the Sanur paratrooper boot-camp in the West Bank city of Jenin, Israel Radio reported, cited by Haaretz newspaper.
No injuries were reported.
Meanwhile, tens of Palestinians were injured by tear gas during clashes between residents of Silet El Dhaher village and Israeli troops near Jenin, reported the official Palestinian news agency, WAFA.
It said that clashes flared as residents of the village took to the streets and opened their shops, breaking the Israeli blockade that has been imposed since mid June.
Since the outbreak of the latest Israeli-Palestinian conflict last September, CNN reports that Palestinians have killed over 112 Israelis with weapons ranging from stones and knives to machineguns and car bombs. Israeli military sources have reported well over 600 injuries to Israelis of Jewish descent.
