MMC has brought its three operating companies Mercer, Oliver Wyman and Marsh together in offices in Riyadh to better serve the booming need for professional services in Saudi Arabia. A provider of premier services around the world, Marsh & McLennan Companies (MMC) is committed to being located where clients need it, from a geographical to a technical best practice perspective. With the opening of the Saudi operation, MMC is responding to the massive growth in need for services in an economy that has been a pillar of the Middle East and is continuing to show strong growth. At the official launch of the new offices inaugurated by his Excellency Governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), Dr. Mohammed Al Jasser stated “We are an emerging economy and we expect value added services from such professional consultancy firms and we welcome Mercer and Oliver Wyman joining Marsh in, in the Kingdom." MMC Senior Vice President, David Frediani, said, “We have long harboured the desire to bring our other businesses into this market to back up and grow the work that Marsh has undertaken. It is a sign of our long term confidence that we are prepared to do this on such a scale at a time of some global uncertainty.” Speaking at the launch was Mr Amer M Kayani, Minister Counsellor for Commercial Affairs Embassy of the United States in Saudi Arabia. He was joined by some local dignitaries and invited guests. MMC is bringing its combination of global best practice and local expertise to the Saudi market. The launch of the new offices signals a confident strategic investment in a market that is growing in size and sophistication. The businesses will reflect the aspirations of the Saudi market itself, with a focus on sustainable and achievable bottom line growth while maximizing local resources and helping Saudi businesses grow. According to David Frediani, “We are bringing together these three strong, successful firms under one roof with one common objective to serve and support Saudi organizations that want to grow and prosper. Only when our clients are successful in their businesses and see the value that we bring to that success, will we be successful”.
