Brazilian National team coming to UAE!
Brazil and the UAE National teams will play a FIFA approved International Friendly at the Zayed Sports Stadium in Abu Dhabi on 12 November, 2005.
Brazil is currently the best known team in the world, having won the FIFA World Cup on no less than five occasions. The Brazilian team comprises of some of the worlds greatest football celebrities Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Roberto Carlos, Robinho Kaka and team Captain Cafu to name just a few.
The UAE team has already created a buzz with some fine on-the-field display and in June this year they won the prestigious Kirin Cup in Japan by beating their hosts 1 – 0 in the final match. We are very pleased to be hosting the star studded Brazilian National Team in the UAE and are positive that this day will be a change for the UAE football history when the “A” Team will set foot on Gulf soil for the first time ever, said Mr. Yousuf Al Serkal, President United Arab Emirates Football Association.
This is the first time the Brazilians have played in this region and the stadium which seats 47,000 is expected to be filled to capacity.
The promoter and co organizer of the event, Grand Champion, which is a newly formed arm of an event and sponsorship management company organizing exclusive sporting events worldwide confirmed that tickets for the largest and most exciting sporting event in the UAE will be on sale from early October at selected outlets across the region.
